I would like the weather app to be larger, but when I move the points up for height and width in the "configurations" dialogue box, nothing happens.
The "zoom" is already at 100%, and I see no way of going beyond that.

The widgets can only be resized <100%. (zoom out)
The max size is the 100%. It's logical... And this because with more than 100% the widget will appear blur and ugly..
Now if you want to increase the size of all the components of the widget you can do it manually through the designer.

I did go to the designer app, but have no idea on how to use it.
Is there a help file or manual for it?

Check this section:
viewforum.php?f=10

About the designer, on the "metrics" tab (on the right) there is the "scale" option. Use this to resize the objects you want.
Which widget you want to resize? Could you post here the link?

I don't know about a link. It's just the weather app you see included and is there when first opening the program, Eker Weather.

I tried resizing each individual layer, text, and all. Just ended up with a color background and some minor misalignment after clicking on "Save and Run in XWidget".
Where's the undo/redo?

Unfortunately the design doesn't have undo/redo. We hope that Tony will put it on the next version of XW since is very useful!
Could you press "package" and upload here the .xwp file so I can edit it for you?
(I have deleted all the default XW widgets.. )
Re-install/Overwrite XWidget to have the default version of the widget...
