WHY TGE HELL DO I NEED TO REPURCHASE THIS APP TO USE ANY WIDGETS THAT I PREVIOUSLY HAD USED AND WHEN I BOUGHT THE APP ALREADY?

The widgets that you have downloaded when there was only a free version of Xwidget, they can be used equally!
After the last update/s the free version allows to download only three widgets.
If you have purchased the pro version you can have access to all the gallery current and future.
The initial XWidget version were completely FREE so I don't understand when you say 'when I bought the app already'... You DIDN'T PAY anything and all the widgets that you have downloaded with the free version are fully functional. If you need more widget yes you have to purchased the pro version.
The next versions will bring more new cores from the pc version like cpu, ram, photo album, calendar, second weather provider etc so many more new kind of widgets will come.
The pro version was the only way for us to continue the development, pay the servers and all the various services that need to run and improve the app.
I don't think that the people who have supported us as you said they want a dead app! Or not..

Barratt is a bit of a non-thinking, quick-talking, rather rude person, clearly. I wouldn't worry too much about his rant.

Barratt, the app continues to be free and widgets are still downloadable, especially from the xwidgetsoftware group on Deviantart and other developer's locations. All my widgets are available on Deviantart for free.



Be aware that you don't have to pay for anything and you haven't paid anything before. It has all been free.

Jim, it does bring up a valid point though - When running the app for the first time, I think it needs to be made a little clearer that you can still download some widgets from DA. Perhaps a link on the app. to Deviantart group for the free widgets? or a gallery for the free widgets... The paid gallery popping up is a good thing but if it leads downloaders to think that's all they can access and they have to pay, it can be a bit confusing.

For those that don't think and are too happy to go mental and spout off, this might be useful.

To sum up - the change from free to paid widget gallery needs to be explained, a pop up with some text and an accept button perhaps? I'd be happy to write the text for Tony.

Dean the app's descriptions (free and pro) have all the necessary informations. I personally wrote them.
The people are lazy and they just bypass them..
Also he's the known kind of user who makes a post and he never replies or checks better, because he doesn't care. Just check his profile, the joined and the last visit time. He came here for 2 mins, he wrote a rude post and end of story. I'm sorry but a user who speaks like this, seems that he never supported our work for real and clearly he didn't understand a damn thing of what we're doing here..

Regardless a splash screen would be very useful indeed as per my other post re: the nag screen. I'll knock you up one later.
