I have created a widget with several layers. I would like to be able to move an individual layer with the mouse.

I can resize a layer with the scaleTo operation and I assume I can move the layer too with the moveTo operation.

However my question is : How can we move a particular layer using the mouse in conjunction with the mouseDown and mouseMove events?

I assume that a flag can be set on a mouse down and then the layer can be moved to correspond to the mouseMove event until a mouseUp is encountered where the flag can be unset.

Has anyone done this already?

BUMP:

I continue to need this functionality, does anyone know how to do this? Can it be done?

If not then I will change this HELP item to a suggestion for new functionality.

I used this function for my "3D Desktop" widgets.

Thankyou Jim I will give it a go and if it allows me to move a whole layer independently that will be very useful.

That does not seem to work with a layer.
