Post subject:  Google Chrome Has The xwidget Setup File Marked as Malicious
When I tried to download and update to the latest version of xwidget, Google Chrome refused to download it as it, for some reason, is marked as a malicious file and it's being blocked. There is no explanation as to why or how it got this way, but it's upsetting. I really like using the software so far.

XWidget is 100% clean and virus free:

I think that the problem starts from your antivirus as a false alarm, not from the Chrome..
Have you tried to dl it using Firefox or Explorer?

Sir, I'm quite sure it's Google Chrome that had it blocked and it has nothing to do with my antivirus. I know this because Chrome said it was the one that blocked it and gave me this page as a reference:

The reason I reported it here AND via the support email link is because I wanted to give the author(s) a chance to refute the claim before it becomes an issue. As a code slinger myself, I would be quite pissed to find out that somebody had marked my code as malicious when it wasn't and I would appreciate it if someone alerted me to this fact. Chrome, after all, is quite a popular browser.

The good news is it's been fixed though and Chrome is now downloading it without issue. :D
