- create 2 test files (file A, file B hereafter) - create a shortcut of file A (e.g.: drag&drop) - right click on shortcut -> Shortcut settings - click on icon image, select file A, click OK
- now, the shortcut doesn't has an icon - this doesn't work when you click on "clear" below the icon, it just reverts to the default icon of the shortcut
- if you click "delete" via the right-click menu, XLaunchpad deletes the file which was selected as the source of the shortcuts icon - you can check this if you choose file B as icon source for the shortcut for file A (they can be in different directories, doesn't matter)
- This is only valid for files which do not contain any icons in them!
Well, yes, this is a bug report.
And on a note: It would be nice (and useful) when XLaunchpad could show a preview of icons from .EXE and .DLL files. (Or rather, browse them for icons with preview)
Thanks for reading.
