Hello,
I have a problem with a freezing widget. Recently I changed my phone and moved from Android 6 to Android 9. On Android 6 worked fine, but on Andoid 9 I have this annoying problem when I not use the phone for 1 hour or more. Widget didn't react and even not open the widget's menu. I've tried many solutions and settings seen here or in app's FAQ, but nothing solve the issue. I disabled battery optimisation for XWidget, data and Wi-fi are both turned on to run when phone's screen is off, weathercore is set to update at 1 minute, weather is set to update in 15 minutes.. nothing worked. Has anyone any advice(Android settings or app settings) how to solve this or to force to run in background(I think this is the problem)? Thanks.

Hello yahoo92. Thank you for using our app.
Tony will continue to work on adding more features and trying to fix the bugs. With the new SDK and the passage from the Eclipse to Android Studio to continue the development, we notice that the app became unstable for Android 8.0+..
After Android 7.0+ the OS's background optimisation became more aggressive and so you need give all the necessary permissions and disable/remove XWidget from all the automatic OS's processes like battery optimisation, automatic disable of the apps in the background..
On my S7 Edge the app works fine , but as I read from many reports here and on PS, the app has indeed some problems.
Tony started already to re-check the app to find the base of the problem.
Unfortunately every year a new Android version comes out and the Devs have to re-program the apps to work properly according the new coding. And this is annoying..
Anyway. Re-check the settings to see what causes XWidget app from run in the background. Tony tries to find a permanent solution for the issues. I'm sorry that I can't help you more because he is the main programmer of all the apps.
Please let us know how it's going and maybe I'll contact you when we have a new next beta version to test.
