Yesterday I found xwidget 1.96 and installed. But today it disappeared in the download page and go back to 1.93!
There was no comment on that!

Yesterday I found xwidget 1.96 and installed. But today it disappeared in the download page and go back to 1.93! There was no comment on that!

Jim, I've heard a report that the last version crashed in use. I had that occur too after a system restart from sleep - just a heads-up so that you can mention it to Tony. If I were you I would tell Tony to keep the older version up on the site and offer the new version as an option to test. |

As I said earlier, the last crash was after a system re-awaken from sleep, the whole xwidget engine went down when I tried to interact with my media player. A guess might be - The media player has activeX connections that may well be in a suspended state while the machine re-awakens, hence my recent call for a wakeFromSleep function that allows Xwidgets to suspend itself for 15 secs after a system wake-up then take whatever action is required to reawaken itself (reload). Of course that is all just a guess. I will try to extract the other crash condition reported to me. Expect more information shortly. |

Today (June 28 JAPAN) I found the new releases, but the portable version is not new (same as the first release). I hope the updated portable version as easy install and uninstall for test. |

I just ran the main installer and the program version doesn't seem to have changed there either. I assume Tony is making changes but not updating the program version numbers. 1.9.2.83 Nothing seems to have changed! Reporting as new bug. |

Right click on the xwidget.exe in explorer and see the reported product version number. This is populated by the C compiler at compile time and should be revised otherwise it reports incorrect version numbers that do not tally with "about" information. These should all tally. About 1.9.6.628 File version 1.9.3.1022 Product version 1.9.2.830 I don't run an updated program until I have checked the reported version numbers using Windows explorer. The same for all Windows programs. Just the same as we do for our widgets, widget.xul contains the specific widget version number that we update to ensure users know which version they are running. |
