Most of the widgets (especially the weather widgets) use the Hotspot function to Update Weather, Change Location etc directly from the widget.
Here is an example how the Hotspots can be applied for direct function with the DateTime and Weather cores.

TO CREATE/EDIT A WIDGET FOR ANDROID YOU NEED TO PRESS THE "Android Mode" BUTTON OF THE DESIGNER FIRST.

In the XWDesigner add a Hotspot component and move it where you want to apply the On-Touch function.
Then assign the Binding Core and select the tag/function you want to use for the Hotspot from the OnClick tags list.

Repeat the same procedure for the other Hotspots.

Use this procedure to install the widget to your phone:
viewtopic.php?f=23&t=3776
Exit the Designer and Save.

NOTE:
If the widget uses more than one Cores like DateTime and Weather, you can use both cores to assign different functions.
For example one over the clock to switch between 12h/24h and another over the weather icon to update weather etc.
